In 2026, FIN-DIG is taking a break - and in its place, the Sacramento Aquarium Society is hosting the Aquatic Gardeners Association 2026 Convention (AGA 2026) in the same timeframe. You’ll still enjoy FIN-DIG favorites like the Rare Species Auction, but AGA brings even more aquascaping, workshops, a national crowd to our regional event.

Nope! Everyone is welcome. However, members of the Sacramento Aquarium Society or Aquatic Gardeners Association (AGA) receive discounted admission.

While registration is not required for activities such as the Rare Fish and Sunday Mega Auctions, or to visit the Vendor Room, registration IS required to attend any of the presentations, field trip, workshops, happy hour, banquet (plus ones are welcome), or aquascaping demo. Registering early also access to events that sell out quickly, like the workshops and field trip.

Nope — we treat everyone like a VIP. But if you want a more hands-on experience, sign up for a workshop or field trip.

Yes, space is limited and they fill up fast, so register early.
For the Nano Aquascaping Workshop: first-time participants get sign-up priority. Returning participants will be added to a waitlist — just indicate your interest in the notes during checkout. -
The AGA Convention is designed to be a fun and welcoming event for all ages, and families are absolutely encouraged to attend.
As for pets, please keep in mind that the venue can get busy and crowded indoors, which isn't the most comfortable environment for most dogs. Service animals are, of course, always welcome.

The next AGA will take place in Spring 2028 — AGA events are held every two years, with the location moving to different host clubs throughout the country. Want to stay in the loop? Become an AGA member and get The Aquatic Gardener magazine delivered quarterly.

FIN-DIG will return in Spring 2027. Don’t want to wait that long? The SAS hosts monthly meetings featuring speakers and auctions, as well as special events like Swap Meets and the famous SAS Mega Auctions.
